Why does my BB 9900 Bold Red light flashing and cannot connect it to my pc?

Have you tried removing your battery and then attempting to connect to Desktop manager? Remove the battery, then affix your USB cable and see if your device will pick up then. (make sure you have the latest version of Desktop Manager) You may be able to wipe and reload via this method.
