Currently using a 9800 Torch, everything is where i expect it to be. Settings, calls, mail, etc... It works when I need it most. Even after abuse, being dropped, or being washed by my daughter who wanted to help Daddy out because it needed a bath. Security of the data is not matched by any in the industry (find someone...yes that's a challenge). And truthfully who doesn't love an underdog!!!!!

Using my torch 9850 at the time. Most folks like the bolds with the physical qwerty keyboards. I also have a bold 9930. If you send a lot of texts and emails you simply can not beat the blackberry physical keyboards. Nothing comes close to me.

Lots of folks here seem to have had various issues but then they would right? People come here for help after all. But for what its worth I own 3 os7 phones, a torch and two bolds. All work fine. The latest official carrier os builds are pretty damned good. The early ones as I look back were not all that great on battery life. Rim (blackberry) has a bad habit of not getting the battery optimizations right out of the gate. There was also a bricking issue, now fixed. I think.

Anyway, at this point if you are wanting a premium physical keyword device the Q10 is what you should wait for.

It is quite simple. If you buy a device and use the latest stock os you are likely to have no issues. If you install five thousand apps with reckless abandon, etc. You'll probably find a way to cause issues.

9900 was the best phone I ever had before the Z10. Maybe hold off until the Q10 comes out if you want a QWERTY? Then you can join in on all the BB10 fun!
+10 my 9900 was quite the workhorse and durable (fell so many times and survived). My Z10 is my precious now lol.

Although I do have an Otterbox Commuter Case on the 9930, she certain does take falls very well, never skips a beat (normally falls off the conference room table at work).

Because they just work. I'm more confident with my 9900 than my macbook.

I love my 9900 but I also hate it haha. I have to reboot it daily and it has a bad memory leak.......
Using os 7.1.0.861 for the past couple of weeks. Total of 1.2mb memory leak and zero reboots. Give it a go.

9900 great phone. I've never had problems you mentioned. I'm sure you'll love it. Unless you are an app person. But I would think hard about getting it now under 2 year contract as Q10 is soon coming out. Look around and you'll find great deal for used or even brand new 9930 on your local classified. That's what I did.
