+2 - Seen too much and owned way too many electronic techno gizmos to know that. I will tell you what though - when I had the 9650, it was the longest I ever owned a phone (over a year) - and I like the 9930 so much more - it's everything the 9650 needed to be....
I have a PB. I don't need a mini one. I hope BB os7 lives on forever and continues to get upgraded because I see no point in having two devices that are nearly identical except for screen size.
Bold + PB = Best of both worlds. Bold for communication. PB for entertainment without killing my phone's battery.
I bought the 9900 because it's the best Blackberry available, if I would have waited for the latest and greatest, I would be waiting for ever, meaning that when the 1st QNX device comes out, a couple more will be waiting to be released months later, and a few more after that, how long do you wait until you buy one? I'm happy with the 9900, if I wasn't, I would have returned it, stuck it out with my 9800, and then wait for the next best from BB.
Because I had a BlackBerry 9630 Tour. She served her 2 years, and has properly retired. This phone I have now will go the distance the same as my last BlackBerry.

Because I have no patience and can't wait for anything!!! It's a good thing the QNX devices are not coming out this week because i'd probably have one of those too!
Because it does everything I need my smartphone to do. My Droid Pro pretty much did also, but the BB does it more efficiently which means I'm more productive, which means I make more money.
Cause one 9900 in the hand, is worth 2 QNX in the bush.
You are seriously asking why I chose a BlackBerry that is out and able to be used, over waiting for a handset that has not even really been announced yet? okies.....
im not waiting for qnx for one simple reason.i haven't upgraded in 3 years now.so for me waiting 1 more year is a no no.i don't want to be left behind while the rest of the world gets to enjoy the luxuries.i deserve my share too like i deserve myself my own wife.(afterall, this is the usa-freedom of choice)so i don't care if i pick the bold or the i5 or 9860 or some flashy new android.im going to have myself a new device no matter what.and who says the first round of qnx will go smooth and perfect.i'll be better off by waiting for the 2nd round or 3rd round of qnx if i decide to stick with rim in future.for me all this is not frustrating me,my carrier at&t is.the past few years,i passed on devices because i felt that none were suitable for me.in 2011,new devices arrive that im drawn to.but yet another roadblock-at&t decides to take their time.i understand they will make these flawless.but waiting 3 years to get your attention is not enough?then what is?even a tease of the i5 would calm my nerves right now.
I didn't wait cause I get a new phone every 3 months or less. I purchased all 3 of the latest blackberrys. 9900 being my favorite then the 9860 following by the 9810. I also have an iphone 4 and a S2 Galaxy. S2 Galaxy is the best phone I own but I use my 9900 the most. Love that BBM and keyboard!!
I picked up the 9900 at full price so that I can use it with a Playbook over bridge. By the time the QNX devices hit I will have my upgrade and I will get one.
I needed to upgrade. I was so itching to get something new. I had a T-Mobile G2x after the 8900 but sold it and went back to the 8900. I love Blackberries. They get the job done. I couldn't do that as efficiently with the two Android phones that I had. I can't wait for QNX. If it comes out and it's an awesome OS, then I'll buy the phone out right off contract.
Because I've waited for RIM to do a refresh on the 9000 and its rumored that the QNX BB is going to be touch screen (for everyone who has a PlayBook) we already have the "Colt" and appreciate the form factor of a classic phone.
Mainly because I know that RIM doesn't have a reliable release record and I wanted a new toy. + if the new phones do release with.a touchscreen only model first I don't want it. I could always sell my 9930
I got mine because I really liked the device and what it has to offer, plus, the next 14 months are going to require a lot of my BB. I wanted the keyboard and not too much that I need to try to learn on the run.
