There are multiple manufacturing plants in Waterloo, ON. And they are NOT small. RIM 8 is quite big and that is where most of the Bolds are made.

Bold made in Canada, but my Curve 8300 was made in Mexico. No problems with any of them. It seems Bold is made in Hungary and Canada so far, just one from Finland ??

I am referring to RIM 8 actually. I didn't know that there where other plants.. are there any more?

And RIM8 is too small to cope with the large number of units they want to make. The plant has not been expanded proportionally with the growth of the company and therefore they must outsource.

And no I don't have any hard numbers for you people.

I wonder what the comparison in errors or problems are related to where they were built ? I see a lot of people posting problems most are maybe OS or Carrier problems but there have been device problems.
