Otherwise there are MANY stores in Kowloon and Hong Kong city that sell unbranded and unlocked devices, but at quite a large premium over the CSL stores...

CSL is one of the major carriers in Hong Kong. AFAIK, although unlocked phones are available in the stores in Hong Kong without contract, Blackberry devices are sold officially (unlocked or not) through the carriers. The major electronics stores (Fortress, Broadway, etc) don't carry them, and the unbranded ones you find in smaller stores may not be under official warranty.

We're planning on buying 2, one for me and one for my sister. Would you guys have any idea if they will be able to give us a handset discount like HK$200-300 off for both handsets?
No, none in the airport (at least there werent any when i was there last) ...
The CSL stores have a set price, but many of the grey market stores are buying up the stock and selling them at a premium.
A colleague of mine was there last week, and had no option but to buy from a little store in Mongkok, as all the CSL stores were sold out. He paid 6900 HK$
Wow, how greedy is that. I hope there are stocks when we go to HK. $5188 ain't that bad. haha! If we can't find any we might get from a seller we know about HK$5700 or US$734
Actually, because most of the business people are located in HK, if they are sold out in HK-side, it's best to buy it from the Kowloon-side because there are less business people that are interested in Blackberrys.
I got mine @ CSL store in Mong Kok (Kowloon) too
It's HKD 5,188 for handset only. I've found it quite afforable (dont want to say it 's cheap hehe), however, it depends on your luck, because I think unlocked Bold is just sold with limited quantity
