Well I'm not sure what they have planned for future os7 devices but it is the newest OS7 device I believe and the os10 is schedules for 4th quarter release so that could be correct.
We need this phone in the US. It looks awesome and sleek. I hope we get it. They did the same thing with the pearl3g 9100 and we only got the Black w/red on AT&T.
I see the 9790 on Amazon for over $500 to much for me give me a contract for $100 or $150
