Can you go into your Options menu, go to Status and then look at Database sizes. What is the size at the top? Any hogs in there?

I get that also . I wonder why . Not a lot of apps installed :(
.266
48mb after bpull
Usually level out at 33mb during the week.
Running 266 and available memory is about 42mb after reboot. Settles in to about 32-33mb after a couple of days. I have about 25 or so apps installed, a few launchers, one or two games and one additional theme.

.266 here. I get about 40mb after a batt pull. Hovers between 32 - 35mb after a day or two. About 10 apps and half a dozen themes at any given point.
.266 here and average 12mb. Absolutely unacceptable. Same after several battery pulls. Sigh.
I'm on .266. Never pull my battery. I am guessing I have about 10 3rd party apps - I'm not a huge app user. My Bold is at 42.2 MB right now. It's usually anywhere between 42-45 MB.
51 5.0.110
Good to know, but not really comparable to a Bold.....
sorry i didnt read it right i have all the bb's on my bold ii just edit my post
Oh, no problem! I found your info interesting. Just hard to translate to a Bold situation, that's all.
.266 i usually start off with close to 40 and end up in the 20's with some apps installed.
Love my OS for various reasons but when it comes to the amount of memory free in 24 hours, it is horrendous.
OS: v4.6.0.167 (Platform 4.0.0.217)
APPS: 15 of them (Google Maps, Nav4all, Pandora, Bolt, etc)
Memory Reboot: around 25mb - 30mb
24 hours later: 6.3mb
Yesterday I was using Google Maps & Nav4all heavily and I saw my memory at a low 1.7mb. The OS is great on signal and battery life but it has taken a heavy toll on memory usage. Previous OSs were way better with memory on my phone. Anyone having similar issues?
I think your situation is typical for .167. I think everything else will work well - even better - and your app memory will improve greatly on .266.
Plus, make sure you're closing your apps properly.
OS: v4.6.0.266 (Platform 4.0.0.223)
APPS: 10 or so.
Mem: after a day of use im at 31.
i dont fluctuate too much with this install !
I used the info in CBerry 101 to maximize my app memory and have my .167 showing 37mb free space memory after a cache cleaning and battery pull...after some use it hovers around 31-30mb.
.266 running like 46 mb
I'm running on a .266 and have around 50.6mb of free memory after QuickPull. But after 24h of moderate usage it drops to 37-38mb. Is that normal? I always close my applications trough menu>close.
Here st the list of my apps:
BEIKS Dictionary Reader
Marketing dictionary for BEIKS
Berry Unit Converter
CaptureIt
ShrinkIt
Documents To Go Premium
Extra Light
Google Mail
Google Maps
Led Reset (never needed it, thinking about delete)
MaxMem
PDF To Go
Qsms
QuickPull
Stock Weather Plus theme
Texas Hold'Em King 2
Viigo
Windows Live Messanger
YWeather
I've deleted BBM so most of the time there are only 4 apps that runs all the time. I always keep my inbox for sms and mail as empty as possible

Have you tried the CBerry 101 for 'How to maximize free memory"? Did a lot for me...got me from the 12 range to the 30 range with a .167..
**NEW**
OS: v4.6.0.266 (Platform 4.0.0.223)
APPS: 15 of them (Google Maps, Nav4all, Pandora, Bolt, etc)
Memory Reboot: around 40mb - 45mb
24 hours later: 32.3mb
So I have been using this OS for about a whole day and I must say that everything works much better than v4.6.0.167 (Platform 4.0.0.217). Everything is working out great for far...
30mb w/ 7 days uptime on .266. stays at that forever except after batt pull of course.
This seems like a good place to ask this newby questions since you are discussing free memory.
Is their a simple way to identify which programs are presently running and an easy way to close/stop them other QuickPull?
On my iPAQ, I can go to Memory and it will show which programs are running by name. I can stop individual programs or stop them all at once.
Seems like this would be helpful when trying to diagnose which programs are memory hogs. I just have not learned all the capabilities of my Bold, yet.
The best way to look at your open programs is to go into your home screen and click the BB menu to access all your folders and programs. Click on the menu button again to access your options menu (Move, Move to Folder, Hide, Show All, Switch Application) Choose Switch Application and a window will pop up with the programs that are open. Just scroll left and right to view them. There are always 5-6 icons/programs that will stay open on your phone (Phone, Messages, Home Screen, Visual Voicemail, Browser, Blackberry Messenger). Any other program that is open you must manually close it by clicking the menu button while the program is open and then choosing to close it.
OS: 4.6.0.247
Memory Free: 24.77
Is my memory a bit low? Have closed all apps apart from device defaults?
