Were those specs and features fake?

No where in the spec i've seen even mentioned the processor speed, they just mentioned that it has 768 MB RAM and is touch screen and runs OS 7

It wil be definetely a single core and for the speed rumors say it will be double of the actual 9780 one which is the most probable case that will happen.

Where are people getting this BS theory from?

It's going to be an OS7 upgrade to the 9700/9780, just like the 9900/9930 was an upgrade to the old 9000.

I don't know the figures, but I'm pretty sure the 9700/80 size Bold far outsold the larger 9000 worldwide, so to restrict sales of the 9790 to emerging markets would make no sense whatsoever!

Proof of this has already been seen with the inclusion of the 9790 in a leaked Telus SKU.
I've also downloaded and inspected the leaked 9790 OS, which was an AllLanguage build (not Asian) and included all of the usual T-Mobile apps.

Spec-wise, until officially announced everything about the 9790 is just rumours... but being a high-end Bold, logic would dictate that the specs will match those of the 9900/30 (excluding the use of premium materials though) ie. 1.2Ghz processor, 768MB RAM, 8GB onboard memory, OS7, 2.44" 480x360 resolution touchscreen, 5MP camera WITH autofocus, NFC etc.

That's my theory anyway... and I'm definitely getting one of these bad boys!

Hopefully this device does get released ! I still want the 9900 but its nice to have more blackberry's. There might not be much of a market for this device what with the 9900 and all the other blackberry 7 devices
