That's Just How I Have It Configured. It Can Be Fixed But I Choose To Leave It. If It Bothers You To Look At Words. I Don't Know What To Tell You.

Not terribly. You must remember that a BlackBerry being configured to an individual can be quite unique to any person. Perhaps the way I have mine set up would blow your mind also, but it suits they way I use mine. If you use a BlackBerry the way some power users do, multiple-key shortcuts make perfect sense. His usage of the multi-key sequences could be most appropriate, and quite fast once adapted.
Once an adjustment has been made, it is a matter of adapting your mind. The way I use my device is a total revamp from how I used it in the first month. Looking at his setup gives me some interesting ideas for how I'd like to adjust my usage, and suddenly Quicklaunch has slipped onto my radar. Oh I could so go for multi-keying the

I just bought QL on Saturday and saw the option for the multi-key use. I'll probably end up setting those up shortly but wanted to get used to using QL first.
I changed my left convenience key from Application Switcher to Video Camera because I read that holding the Menu key accomplishes the same thing... So:
Left - Video Camera
Right - Photo Camera
