What's the average lifespan of a bb before upgrading/changing? 1-2 years?
Well you are asking a bunch of BB crazies that have to have the latest and greatest BB's when they come out. ha ha

I think the older models had a longer lifespan but the newer ones seem to be 'prettier' and more susceptible to have having those scratches more prominant.

Was rocking a Nokia 8801 for a few years. Nice phone, awful battery, unfortunately. They were nice enough to provide a back-up battery in the box, with a place for it in the charger, however.

Moved up to the Bold. Very different device. Really enjoying the added functionality of a BB.

Had an 8800 on orange, like the new keyboard on the Bold, and the screen quality is amazing.

Not sure if I am really entitled to answer this question, as I don't actually have a Bold YET, but I am currently using a Windows Mobile Device - an Asus M530W.

Looking forward to getting my Bold though... hopefully within the next 10 days!

I had a curve 8320. When pictures of the Bold were first leaked I thought it would feel too much like an 8800 in the hand. It doesn't fit in my hand like a curve, but fits much better than the 8800 I had before.

I had an HTC Touch, which by the way, I think is personally one of the WORST phones. After that broke I had to downgrade to my old Samsung D807 (ewww), until the Bold was released.

Definitely not trying to turn this into yet another iPhone v. Bold thread but...

Someone asked me today how I liked the Bold so far and if I liked it better than my iPhone. I told them that they really are two different devices; and, in my opinion, they really are.

Both are great devices but the Bold is just such a step up from what RIM's been doing so far. I'm really pleased as pie with it so far
