I've done some searching, but can't seem to find anything on this. Yesterday I installed a Phantom Skin on my Bold. I have previously installed a BSE screen protector, but since I had to get a replacement unit from AT&T, I was in the market for something different.

Anyway, this morning I turned my Bold on and the screen has a bunch of large dark spots, that take up probably 50% of the screen. When viewed with a white screen (like at start-up) or from an angle it looks really bad. Ther are not air bubbles, and look like they are deep down.

Could I have damaged my LCD screen installing the skin? Any tips on suggested fixes, other than replacing the screen?

putting your bold in a bag of rice (battery out) will take care of drying it out. give yourself about 24 hours. you'll still have some staining, but unless you're super anal retentive it should be fine. I had the same thing happen to me when I installed my first BSE.
