i believe the answer is NO. don't quote b/c i haven't read all the legal documentation, but from what i've read around here, the answer is no. plus i sent mine in for warranty under .266, and they didn't charge me, so my experience would also say you're fine.
So they replaced it for you no problem???? I also wanted to add....... they said the phone cannot have physical damage or cracked screens... i had a phone with scratches all over it and they warrantyed it no problem.... will if have any problem with this little scratch? i doubt it but wanted to have your opinions...
Thanks
bumpppppppppppppppp
Watch the bumps... ;)
It should not be a problem, but it is carrier specific. Try posting in your carrier's section here or calling them. There have been a lot of posts on this as well so you could even try the all powerful search feature.

I've sent 2 Bolds back for warranty to AT&T with unofficial OS's on them.
Haven't heard from them.
mine had scratches similar to that...that, to me, is no where near physical damage. it's not cracked, it's just wear and tear.
and yes, they replaced it no problem. i mean they should have, the trackball wouldn't scroll hahaha (down at least).
Cool.... i just got my replacement phone in today.. do you know if they send in brand new phones? or are they refurbs?
Refurbs. Brand new housings and LCD's on them.
Pretty much.
