I just got mine in black just it was ipthe only color available in august.
And you should call your carrier and checkout. At least they can tell you if its coming in the future or not.
I got mine from Starlink which is a subsidiary of QTEL. Its beautiful in its white version (although my favorite color is black and I always buy Black Blackberries).
And since the back is not leather it wont get dirty like the 9780 or 9700.
I almost got black one before...but afer I think serious...I prefer the white...
and I just ask the vodafone staff here...but they even do not know there is a white blackberry bold 9900!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeppp....I fall in love with it just after watching the unboxing video on youtube....I almost get a black one few weeks ago... but I still want to wait for the white one since i need to face it for 24 months
I think the white will get dirty eventually, doesn't matter how careful you are.
I'll gett a bold 9900 next week saturday, so. I really like the white, a lil more than the black, but just the fact that it will get dirty holds me back

For some bucks my carrier changes the color of the phone from black to white and vice versa. I think its pretty neat, it would totally come in handy in summer
RIM learned from its mistakes: the back of this Bold is not leather, its rugged hard plastic. I remember how dirty the 9700's back used to get. Nevertheless im using a hard white shell to keep it in good condition.
