yes if you blacked it out or changed the keyboard or trackball.
The key is putting the original parts back on when you send it in, then putting the warranty sticker back on.

they are going to see some evidence that shennanigans have been afoot, eh? I can't believe they haven't been to a 'replace the replaced parts rodeo' before.
So what happends if; for example, you send your original phone (that has been moded with a blacktrackball and doesnt have a warranty sticker) back in after already getting your replacement phone. Do they call you back and yell you to send back your new phone and they send you back you original phone??
who knows at&t staff might be browsing cb as well.
so dun be surprise when u send in your bb for service, they will be extremely cautious to see if your bb has been tampered with
they'll bill you the full cost of the phone (500?) in your monthly bill or credit card

I'm figuring it's the same as a car dealer...they know their stuff better than anyone and will know if someone has f-ed with it...I can't believe the sticky tape is the only detector they have; anybody get billed for a new phone that they thought they had been stealth with?

no i dont think so, the sticky tape is the indicator that its been tampered with. i myself as well as others would have probably noticed if there was any other indicator that was broken in the process of modifying the phone because of the cation we take, and anyways even if u damaged ur sticky u can always swap out the new one on the replacement to the one being sent back.
