WhatsApp no longer supports the old BlackBerry OS devices running less than OS 7, the 9700 maxes out at OS 6. You can try downloading Viber from here, but I doubt it will work. - Viber v3.0 for blackberry os5.0+ apps - free blackberry apps download
tl;dr: If you want these apps to work properly, you really need to look into a newer device running a more modern OS. BlackBerry OS 5,6 and 7 are no good for anything but the basics now.
