It was $199.00 with free overnight shipping when I got it at 11 am on Monday. Sounds like there might have been a miscommunication somewhere with some people.
To clear this up since I asked this morning why I was seeing 200. When your signed into your MyVerizon account, it will show the prices you'll pay for, for any phone. It automatically updates the prices with discounts for you, say if you have an upgrade available for example. Thats why some people see 200 and why others see 250 for the bold 9930 and if your not signed in and just viewing the site, you'll see 250.
here is my question. Please dont think i am dumb but i have never ordered online or on the phone, just in stores. Wen i order the phone online is it activated then, or will my old phone still work while it is being shipped?
How do i activate it, do i go into the store or can i do it using DM, and will that switch my contact and photos all over to the new phone. I have the storm 2 right now

My order is as a new verizon customer this is my first time with verizon.I will say in is shipped as not being activated because i can't set up my account on the verizon website because my phone is not activated yet. The phone shipped Monday and i have not recieved it yet.

It is not activated until you receive it and call the number. It will activate it for you then. This means you continue using your phone until then.
Also for anyone wondering the price difference, it is because of corporate/company discount. If you get a monthly discount from your job/corporate/company, you will probably get the $50 discount. It has been this way for a very long time and I got a $50 discount on my thunderbolt and charge.
I can get the discount i have it with my old carrier and with them i had to send a email to my company email and reply back . Is that the way that you get the discount with verizon ?

It's never dumb to ask a question. If you're upgrading a line just do it all online. Click "Upgrade your device" Select the 9930 and check out. After you get your 9930 log into your account and go to "Activate or Switch Device" and just follow the prompts. It should already have your order on the screen. Verify the info on the order sheet you got. At this point turn the radio off on your Storm. It's important to make sure your Storm's radio is off at this point. You'll have to enter the last 4 of your SS# I think and click submit. After it says your 9930 has been successfully activated. Turn your 9930 on and let it activate itself. If it doesn't prompt you to activate just dial *228 and select option 1. Should be good to go.

so will you get the corporate discount when it hits the stores or is this an online thing?
Ordered two 9930's on Thursday 08/18/2011. I did have a NE2 $50 discount however I got two 9930's at $199. Not sure why but I confirmed order and both shipped today
