Unlock Question: What if my BB is on a contract & INSURED

I have a contract with Bell and will be in another country for the next six months. I have suspended my contract with Bell for now and have a pre-paid sim in a cheap phone here...

But I really miss my BB and would like to use it for the next 6 months here if I can.

So my question is, if I unlock my BB, will it void the insurance that I'm still paying $7 a month to Bell for? How will they ever know it has been unlocked?

And further, can it be locked back after? Would that help?

The will never know if it unlocked and even if they did it does not void the warranty as carriers sell unlock codes for $50.

You will be fine, the carrier won't charge you, they won't lock the phone despite some carriers saying it'll be locked again after 30 days. Once unlocked, unlocked forever. Warranty won't be void either.
