Hey, I've recently started trying to type on my Bold 9930 without actually looking at the keys. Have most of you been doing this for a while or are do you occasionally look at the keys as well?

I sometimes look, its so easy to memorize them.

Yes, it only takes a short while to learn the keyboard. I have grown to love the small form qwerty over the years to a small obsession . Watch a seasoned BB user and you'll notice they rarely look @ the keyboard. The only time I felt uncomfortable with my BB was with the 7100i and I eventally got over that. just look @ all the phones that attempt to mimic BB innovative keyboard design.

I've always been able to do this on any BlackBerry I have owned, including the 8120-little bit harder than my 9900 to type on ;-) but the 9900's keyboard is so nice to type on, I could type an essay on it in half the time I could on a computer because I am so used to the keyboard and I have only had the phone since Wednesday!

I often type blindly without looking at the keyboard. That's why i love the Bold9900.

I look a little bit. I focus on the screen watching for typos. I don't know that I've tried to type on it without looking at it at all though. I don't trust my fingers THAT much! lol

A good sentence for practicing typing without looking is The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs. It contains all the letters in the alphabet.

I do this all the time and is pretty funny the reaction of my classmates! "Are you actually texting without looking at the keyboard on that thing?! Awesome!" Hehe

I am a new user to this phone, and yes i do that and while other looks like @_@ huh!
But yes its very comfortable and i like the keyboard so very much, best ever made!

Hahaha, I love doing this.. I sometimes look to see what I've done(: some of my friends who have had blackberry's as their phone for ages can type anything, any length and get it 100% right most of the time! Good also for texting in class, can be very sly haha
