    I recently purchased a Verizon Bold 9650 off eBay. I just went to plug the phone into both my Mac and PC Blackberry Desktop Software Managers, and each says there is no update available, and my current software is OS 5 Bundle 1242.

    This is extremely weird. Also when I try to update via over the air it says "
    Unavailable to send request for available updates"

    Does anyone have an idea of what is going on/how to fix it

    What carrier are you using the device on?

    If you are not using VZW, is the device unlocked?

    Do you have a BlackBerry data plan (BIS)?

    Have you registered the device with your carrier?

    Device is functioning perfectly on VZW, I am not sure if it is Unlocked, and I pay the $30.00 for it like most users

    Get access to a computer running Windows, download the update from the Verizon site and update the device OS that way.

    6.0 is not available OTA on Verizon for the 9650.
