Decide what percentage of a tip you want to leave and mulitply that by the total bill. If you want to leave a 15% tip you multiply by 1.15. A 20% tip is 1.20. A 50% tip is 1.50. 18% 1.18

Pretty easy math once someone shows it to you.

Easier way to do tips - In Your Head - is:

A 10% tip: move the decimal place in the bill 1 digit to the left: e.g. $110.00 bill results in $11.000 for the 10% tip

    15% is take the 10% figure and add 50% of the tip amount to the 10% tip: e.g. $110.00 bill = $11.00 (10%) plus $5.50 (additional 5%) = $16.50 for the 15% tip

    20% is take the 10% figure and double it : e.g. $110.00 bill = $11.00 (10%) plus $11.00 (additional10%) = $22.00 for the 20% tip

No cost and you may amaze your friends when you do it so quickly, in your head.
