Hey, i've been using my bb 9780 for over a year now and im really getting bored out of it. I've been thinking about buying the bb bold 9900 for a while now. Do you guys think its worth it? I have no interest in buying the bb 10 next year since it doesn't have a qwerty keyboard. Thanks

Well I don't know where you're getting your information from because there will be a BB10 smartphone with a physical keyboard. If you have the money to blow, then upgrade. If you don't, then wait for BB10. the 9900 is much better than the 9780. A much needed spec improvement and a more advanced OS.

Sorry for my ignorance, but i just watched a video of the new bb 10 without a physical keyboard.

Will the bb10 with the physical keyboard be released before the bb10 without the physical keyboard?

if i were you, and i do tell many people this, id wait. os 10 is right around the corner and now that it got pushed back the time differences between the touch only, and the qwert are going to be very close, if not launch together.

Thanks, i was just about to bid on ebay for a brand new BB 9900. I can wait for the BB10 with the physical keyboard.

There has been word about the QWERTY variant would launch 4-6 weeks after the initial full-touch device. So not a big deal. I wonder however what kind of stuff you do expect from the Bold 9900 if your 9780 bores you. The 9900 is faster and offers a touchscreen. However it's not going to dramatically change the BB experience.

Another good point, i've been pondering that same question. I did play around with the BB 9900 a few days ago and it was fun but not a major difference except for how fast it operates and the touchscreen.

Not sure if this is legit.. but the BB10 'Nevada' will be the physical keyboard BB10 device..scheduled for release in Q1 of 2013. But being blackberry...i wouldnt hold you breath on release dates

another reason to wait is, when the new phone OS comes out, bbos 7 is going to be a legacy os. This means games, apps and support for the devices will be less and less as RIM would focus more towards os 10 (similar to nokia support for symbian).

I have a 9900 and am very happy with it. The larger, softer keyboard is a godsend for long emails on the road, and I like the touch screen performance.

I have used a 9700 and loved it, but this 9900 is my favorite phone so far.

    Good luck!!!

If you don't mind buying the qwerty BB10 in about half a year, You should get a Bold now. If you appreciate the roots of the Bold line, you will be in love with the 9900 within weeks. The keyboard feels amazing under the thumbs and a larger touchscreen along with that glowing cursor, makes for an even better task flow than the past Bolds.
I wouldn't give up the opportunity to grab BB10 at launch, but the 9900 is the bees knees.

I had a 9900 for some months, now i have a 9780 and very happy. Much More battery, More signal, no need to update OS (searching for signal and battery) , better hand grip (easy to pull from the leather case with just one hand), no bluetooth issues (9900 use to disconnect after awhile) and OS 6 is good as OS 7 is. But of course, when you are tired of your device, you have to change it....

I LOVE my bold 9900. I had and ip4...sold it and bought a Galaxy s2...then sold it to go with 9900...best decision i ever made.

I have one "minor" issue with the phone. The last time i used a track pad was on my 9700 bold a while back. When i use it on this...i find my thumb slips up a lot and touches the bottom of the screen and hits something i didn't want to...lol

very very minor...just something that happends a lot. so i'm using the touch screen now more that the track pad...
