I use my bold as an mp3 player but it always makes my speakers buzz whenever I am recieveing a text/email/bbm/call. Does anyone know of any speakers that don't buzz next to a phone?

i do believe if you buy shielded speakers the buzz will go away. or if your on 3G there will be no buzz.

    I agree with #2 and #3.

    - Shielded speakers will stop that (most low-end stuff is unshielded)
    - 3G ...havent tested, but I wouldn't doubt it.
    - Wifi ...well, unless your speakers buzz when your router is near them

It is a 2G thing. My BlackBerry 8900 drove me nuts, then I got the Bold and that went away. I have solid 3G service, so leave the Bold in that mode.

2nd or 3rd or whatever is next in line, shielded speakers would probably help.

    What are shielded speakers?

And I hope that 3G thing is right. I've been away for the summer in a non 3G area.

With 3G it won't even buzz when I'm getting a text or call?

2G GSM signals cause the buzz, which is EDGE on AT&T. Once you get back to a 3G area it'll stop.

you can use anything metal for shielding in a pinch, I had a buddy that used a pop can he cut apart to shield around his iphone dock while it charged to stop the buzzing.

shielding basically blocks speakers from outside interference, i.e. cell phones, wireless phones, and other radio frequencies. They aren't in low end speakers but are in decent to high range speakers. home theater speakers are shielded.
