Hey, I've been looking to purchase a Honeycomb Tablet, but as I have AT&T I can't purchase one with a data plan. I'm not a fan of the iPad 2, because of its closed nature and lack of flash (i love to tinker with stuff too) and the Playbook was just too small for me. I'm curious if it is possible to tether a Honeycomb Tablet (specifically the ASUS Transformer) to my Blackberry 9700 through either the micro usb (unlikely) or bluetooth (more likely). I'd be willing to root, or look into any workarounds. I'm running the latest leak of OS6 on my BB by the way. Thanks.

P.S. Sorry if this is a repeat, I searched but just found a useless thread from January.

I think this problem lies with the Android Honeycomb OS, so this thread should probably be moved to there (I don't know how to do it on my own). The problem is that Honeycomb (3.1 even apparently) does not support BT Dun, which is what the Blackberry uses to tether. However, PDAnet released a beta for Android 3.0 and is available for Blackberry, I'm unclear as to if it somehow unlocks BT Dun or not. If anyone could clear this up that would be great.

pdanet tablet beta 2 is due out this week, and will use pn to tether to bb instead of bt dun, so don't hold your breath for long, help is on the way.... interesting too, because there are a grat number of people on the tether forums who are all but begging for a similar app with no response from tether....

anyways, help is on the way
