Hi there, dont know if anyone can help me? I read in a thread below that there is a .714 available for my 9700. Is this T-Mobile US?

I have tried doing an update wirelessly and through the desktop manager and it comes back with no upgrade available. There seems to be a number of different releases since my last update which was to v5.0.0.593 (platform 5.1.0.147).

Why am i unable to get these latest updates?

    Cheers

    Mark

T-Mobile USA and T-Mobile UK are two completely different companies, so are their 9700's and OS releases.

T-Mobile UK's latest official OS is .593 and that is the only OS that you be able to automatically update to via DM.

Forget trying to update wirelessly, as I don't believe any UK network supports that feature yet.

You can update your phone to any OS available, but if it's not a TMO UK build then you'll have to install it first to your PC and delete the vendor.xml file before DM will install it on your phone. Search the forums for how to update your OS.

Just updated to .743 and not lost network coverage like i was doing every night on .593 for last night which is good. I'll see hw it goes. I know its not the network as i'm a network engineer for TMUK.

im on tmobile US's .714 on at&t. it works great for me so far, i would recommend it. i would suggest being cautious of updating to .743, as pandora wont work and VVM is hit or miss.

T-Mobile UK don't support VVM yet... and .714 is nothing more than .586 in dark glasses and a fake moustache
