There's like no speed-test app on BB at all. You're best off tethering it to your laptop and testing it that way or bridging with your Playbook and going that route.

Actually there is a speed-test app. Its just not easily available for free. Fixmo bought it, and now includes it within their "Fixmo Tools" utility app suite. Some of the hybrid builders snagged copies of it before it was swallowed by Fixmo, and they also include it in many of their hybrid builds. Its probably possible to download one of these builds, extract the .cod files for Speedtest, and use Javaloader to install them on your device. (can't get more detailed than that, but perhaps someone else can chime in)
I also believe we're going to have UMA a lot sooner than we think...
Do you have any knowledge to support this, or is it purely conjecture on your part? I'm not asking you to divulge your source of info if you do. Just wondering........
