Kevin posted that there are two different versions of 9700 - one for T-Mo and one for AT&T.

As I will be buying the device in the US but going back to EU will use it permanently there, could you tell me which of the two I should buy so I can use UMTS best?

I think that the ATT version is compatible with 3G in europe.

You need to buy the At&t version because it supports the bands 1,2,5,6 (2100/1900/850/800Mhz) that are used in most of the world vs bands 1, 4, 8 (2100/1700/900Mhz) that T-mobile USA and Wind Canada use.
