I don't know about the U.S, but here in the U.K. launch party dates don't seem to bear any relation to the actual release date of the product.

O2 have just released the Bold two weeks before their first 'launch party'!

I guess this is a matter of perspective. As soon as the Bold is released, I will buy one. Being new to my addiction, I am still learning with my Curve (no pun intended) so the wait is not so bad. I will add, my daughter was getting a Samsung BJII and the stores had the blue and pink models before they were on the corporate users website.

I agree. I think we all will see it mid October. 2 weeks. 10/16 is my prediction. I do not think it will be until November. There are commercials now as i read in a previous post, Best Buy will have it 10.26? I guess my prediction is 10.16 because I want it by then.

I can get an unlocked bold with overnight shipping for $870. I'm debating on paying that much for it, or just wait a month and pay $299. Thoughts anyone?

I personally would wait. I'm not impatient enough to drop an extra $570 for a phone. But it's just frustrating to wait this long for it.

Ok so i just talked to my friend who has a cell phone store, and he told me that they just got word from att that they will be recieving the phones oct 7 and will be starting to sell oct 8.....if the 8th comes and goes with no BBB them im gunna flip and just but a rogers i think, or a unbranded if i am lucky enough......

one more thing about the rogers....everyone is saying that it wont be 3G with tmobile. WHY?? i have tmobile now but will swith to att in a second if it means a BBB. I just thought even if you get the canadian or UK versions you can just upgrade you re install the right version of the OS and youll be set, right????

"World" phones are quad-band 850mhz, 900mhz, 1800mhz and 1900mhz.

T-Mobile uses 1700mhz for their 3G in the USA, which means no "world" phone short of ones designed to work with T-Mobile's 1700mhz frequency will be able to use T-Mobile's 3G network.

I share your sentiment. I am also with AT&T and have been totally frustrated with the fact that they are so vague with the release date. First it was October 2nd, than it was October, later it became November. I absolutely cannot wait any longer because I sold my Iphone 3G anticipating that the BOLD would be out this month. I purchased an UNLOCKED/UNBRANDEDBold from TimTechs.com. for $819.00. It was shipped today. Should have it nlt Friday. I know a month is only 30 days away but I need it. If you can, hang in there and wait but if you don't, I will understand. Check out Timtechs.com. They offer a live chat with "Simon" and they will go over everything on the phone. Customer reviews are posted on Epionions. CTI-MIAMI is good as well. A friend of mine purchased hers from them. They advertised unlocked BOLD's are Rogers branded though. Good luck
