I work from home and remote in to a computer at my company's office via VPN. I use Outlook on my remote computer for all my e-mail and calendar management so that I can access it from anywhere.

Is it possible to connect my BB (9000) to my local machine and sync it with the remote computer so I have all my calendar and other info?

I've seen similar questions like this posted in the past, but funny enough there are rarely any answers so I take it this is a tough one.

It seems to me that more and more professionals remote in to work these days, be it because they're on the road travelling or because they (like me) prefer to work in their pajamas with a cup of coffee and their feet up on the desk, so I find it hard to believe RIM wouldn't create a solution for this.

Many thanks for any help here.

There is an app for that but you got to pay for it. Do a search.

What about BES at work? It is $99 per user and I think it is free for the first user. Then it all syncs wirelessly.

I use Funambol to wireless sync my contacts, calendar, tasks, and notes with my BB. They both sync with a common server account on "My Funambol". Download the Outlook client for your PC, the BB sync client, and set up an account on My Funambol. All are open source / free. They also have a push email sync client, but I haven't used that.

Click "Downloads" in the menu for the software.
