At the end August or early September I am dropping Verizon and going with AT&T to get the bold. I was just wondering what should I expect with my bold and also around how much do you pay a month for your Bold. The rep I talked to said I was looking at around $110 a month. Is that a good deal? Your comments would be much appreciated.

$30 a month for unlimited data on BIS or $45 a month for unlimited data on BES, plus your monthly talk plan, which obviously can vary.

Do you need the 900 minute plan? AT&T has rollover, so perhaps you can do with the 450 min plan.

That sounds about right -- $60 for the minutes, $20 for unlimited texts, and $30 for unlimited BIS data.

I was going to go to VZW and the plan identical to mine was a little more than $10 more a month. I have 1400 minutes, 2 phones, and a BB plan on it.

I currently have to bold for att and the tour for vzw. My vzw bill is $7 dollars more a month for the same plans. If I had to choose one or the other I would take vzw. I have fewer dropped calls with them and have less device problems with them. It might be the area I live. But I truley think that you should stay with vzw and just get the tour. The only reason I have att is sometimes I travel over seas where my vzw doesn't work, but most the time it does.. Once again I would stay with vzw, but then again both services provides offer great advantages.

one advantage would be if you get another person on your plan, they dont pay for txts either because unlimited txts is for the whole plan

yea ive found att cheaper for most of my plans, setting up bis for my gf last night the verizon rep told me i had 2 options for pricing, 39 and 45 and I said no way. Called back and the other guy told me I could get bis for 29.99, very fishy.

I think AT&T is generally a bit less expensive than Verizon. My 400 minute plan is $39.99 for voice (but I have 4000 rollover minutes because I never talk). Unlimited data is $30 and there are a few txt options: $5 for 200, $15 for 1500 and $20 for unlimited.

I think like someone said earlier AT&T and verizon mirror each other. The prices differences are not really that huge maybe betwwn $5 to $10 bucks +/-. I think of it like this: AT&T and Verizon are like BMW and Mercedes, they directly compete with each other and mirror pretty much one another on prices and probably whatever else. Sprint & T-Mobile are like Infiniti & Lexus and they pretty much direct compete with each other but on a lower scale compared to AT&T and Verizon. That's IMO though so like Captain Planet said, "THE POWER IS YOURS!!"

Why not use a bold on tmobile - 300 myfaves, BIS and 400 texts are approximately 72/month and tmo=free tethering

Also check into if you can get a discount on where you work. I work for Home Depot and get a 22% discount with AT&T. Had a 25% discount with Sprint. Check into with both Verizon and AT&T, you might save even more if one of them offer a larger discount.
