I got mine for free with a two year extension from lets talk site... wanted to go to the tour, but this was a better deal. Deals come and go all the time there... you just have to time it right. My contract was up in july and renewed a week or two later... wanted to try VZ but just didnt work out. Plus i wanted the WiFi on the bold...

Got mine without renewing my AT&T contract. I bought my Bold for $380.00. It's been worth every cent. I plan to get the 9700 as soon as it's released and I'll use my upgrade for that.

I paid $399 with a $100 rebate card from att. My work pays for my $45/mo BES data plan.

I paid $300 at rogers, but the manager waived my activation fee ($35), made me a "business" (another $50 off) and threw in a car charger...it certainly hurt the bank account but I saw it coming.

I paid $350 upfront around the beginning of this year, and then waited for a $100 mail in rebate. It is/was well worth it, either way, as far as I'm concerned.

Did everybody who owns the Bold really pay $400 for it?!?

So, I'm upgrade eligible in October, I have until then to figure out how to get a bold for what I consider a reasonable price ($150-250). What am I doing wrong???
Forgive me if this has been said before
    (didn't read all posts)

I just bought my BOLD for $0.99 - yes Ninety-Nine Cents!! On UPGRADE!!
    FREE for New plans.

Wal-Mart.com - their reseller is called Let's Talk, but all was done easily & painless.
I finished the order over the phone just to speak to a human and they were great!
So far so good, should ship tomorrow.
I don't know how long this will last - also they have the 8900, but I wasn't interested so didn't notice the price- I think it is the same.

OK, so on the WireFly site and LetsTalk as well, you have to choose a plan to get the phone. Well, my phone bill being paid by my employer (who provides ~10 phones for employees) kind of keeps me from being able to "select a plan". I just want to upgrade my phone without changing anything regarding the plan itself.

    Any tips on that?

Any insider info/insiders here who are in-the-know @ AT&T that can provide me with some info about upcoming special pricing???

You can always look in the CB marketplace here on the forum. There are people selling bolds. There not brand new, but some are in excellent shape. you might want to check in out. Good luck, as soon as you get the bold you will be very happy with your purchase.

The easy way is to wait and see if they do the free bold refurb deal again.

Craig's list, Ebay or Amazon. There's definitely deals out there to be had. You just have to do some leg work.

I got mine for freeeeee! $250 rebate for recontracting voice plan, $200 rebate for signing up an unlimited bb plan for 3 months, $500 rebate for being a customer of M1 (telco in Singapore) for more than 8 years! In fact, I had so much credit that I had a free sd upgrade and an in car phone charger! Sweet. It retails here for $800 to $900 my currency.

Any new info out there this week?

I'm watching AT&T's website. Best I can figure, that will have to be the route I take, since I won't be changing the contract at all, just upgrading the phone.
