"Standby" Confusion
Need some help on standby here.
Do I need to COMPLETELY turn off the bold (hold down the red button on the far right for a few secs until ATT logo fades) in order to reach the 13 days standby time stated on RIM website?
So far, putting the phone on "standby" (with the top standby/mute) button, I'm only able to get about 2 days, so I guess the phone must be in complete suspension to get 13-day mileage.

probably, i dont think my old 8310 would get that many days on standby. those listed times are under like extreme perfect conditions. no telling what they have on or off.

I don't think that's really that possible...the most I lasted was 2 days.

Those are theoretical under lab conditions achievements. Forget about those and concentrate on what you can do:talk less on the phone, turn off BT and wifi, lower the back-light,etc.

Those numbers represent a bone stock unit with absolutely nothing installed or turned on. Every setting is changed for maximum battery life, but it's nowhere near realistic. They stick the unit on standby, but it might as well be off cause it couldn't perform any functions they way it's set up.
With all that said, I've gone 4 days on a charge with moderate use. I usually use about 10% of my battery a day.
