Is the standby feature totally gone from the 9650? I used this all the time with my 8330, and the battery life on my Verizon Bold seems like it's suffering.

Right, I see the lock... This has the power-saving functionalities of standby?

seemingly so. It calls it self a keyboard lock but i believe it still saves the battery. If you want to password lock your phone just set one of the convenience keys to the Password Lock app. Since i use quicklaunch i have it as the 1st app in QuickLaunch so i just click the button twice and it locks my phone.
