This appears to be a U.S. issue. There are some folks in Europe who are able to place orders and who are getting an August 5ish delivery date.

Seems the rumour's true. AT&T have announced the 9900 "later in 2011". Of course, it may have more to do with the Torch 2 exclusive they have.

Other carriers are releasing in August. Particularly some.European carriers.

The US isn't everything. Sounds like its launching on all the big Canadian carriers this month, with Rogers likely the first out of the gate on the 9th.

I agree! If i should for my carrier to get their slowmotion asses to release this phone I would have to wait till October and probably pay 1000-1300 USD. Unlocked is the way for me.

The waiting is killing me.
I pre-ordered the 9900 from gummobile.com yesterday.
Then i mailed them about the releasedate and they dident have the official date then. But they said around the 15th of August.
Today it says they will have it in stock the 12th!
I just hope so.
