I will try to make this as short as I can!

I recently sold my Blackberry Bold 9000 (AT&T model but unlocked and used with tmobile) and I upgraded to a Bold 9700 RCN71UW (unlocked tmobile US version). I use an iphone (no data plan), but I bought this phone (Bold 9700) for a Canadian relative on the WIND mobile network. The problem I am having is as follows:

I tried using my WIFI to connect to Appworld and make sure it is working, yet is keeps giving me a 80002 error. From what I researched, it has something to do with service books. The thing is, when I tried accessing Appworld on the Bold 9000 the same way, it worked flawlessly. Now on the 9700, it tells me that "App world requires the latest version of Blackberry ID" and when I try to update it states " Sorry, the software update server is unavailable. Please try again."

My phone's info is as follows:

Blackberry Bold 9700
v 5.0.0.714 (Platform 5.1.0.146)
3G bands 1,4,8


My second question is, if I successfully get the proper service books on my phone, will my relative have to get service books again for her specific carrier (Wind mobile)?

you will need a blackberry provisioned sim to get past this.

If your relative has the WIND BB plan there will be no issues and WIND will push the books on to the phone once activated

So my relative will NOT have to reload the OS or any other technical stuff correct? She simply has to pop her SIM in and then do what exactly?
