Will updating the OS on my 9900 void the warranty provided by RIM?

My assumption is that if it is an official OS from my carrier through DM it will not, however leaked versions will void the warranty?

Yes if you send it in for repair and they see it otherwise don't worry about it.

Using a leaked or another carrier's OS won't void your warranty.
Even if you brick the device, which is increasingly difficult to do, there's guides on CrackBerry to fix it.

No device software update will void the hardware warranty.
