Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum with a BB 9700. I purchased a second hand AT&T phone unlocked. My problem is when I insert my sim card and cannot make calls due to a msg "sim toolkit error"
I can send and receive SMS and BB msngr without any problems.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction to the next step in solving this problem?

This is a common problem with old style SIM cards.

You need to call your carrier and ask for a new SIM card.
