SIM initialization failed on Bold 9790 with OS 7.1 install

Installed the O2 version of OS 7.1
Almost everything works.
However, it doesn't take up my BHARTI AIRTEL SIM.
It gives the Initialization Failed error.
I used the Wipe with BBSAK->Reinstall loader.
Used vendelete +
Installed fine and there are no vendor.xml's of RIM on my C:

What could be the problem?

I also made 2 backups of the phone (.bbb file)
Data is intact and I am not afraid of wiping it again &/OR downgrading.
I also found a BHARTI AIRTEL download for OS 7.1 & will try it later.

Info:
PC OS: Windows 10 20H2
BBOS: v7.1 2931 from O2 UK

Legitimate question: does that matter? It doesn't seem to in Canada on prepaid plans. Perhaps it's different elsewhere?

Has the phone worked before for you? Might check the SIM tray pins, make sure they are good.

Sure the SIM is good? Can you get a new one.

And does Bharti Airtel support old BlackBerry phones? Do you known anyone else there using one.
