    Anyone know if it's possible to replace pins on Sim card slot on these things? Tried a Sim adapter and wrecked pins - kind of teed at myself as phone was in mint condition and didn't even get to use it

    Was a common issue back in the day... especially with adapters.

    Parts were readily available and pretty cheap, but it did take soldering - so not for the unskilled. Which meant it really was more likely you'd need a repair shop. So any where between a $30 to $100 fix depending on their fees.

    At this point a replacement phone off ebay might be cheaper, unless you can do it yourself.
