    Anyone experiencing a drop in signal strength when sending/receiving data or on a phone call? As soon as I disconnect the call or end the data transfer the signal strength gains a bar or two. Is this just me or anyone else having this issue?

    I have noticed that on several different phones over the years and can't explain it. I have noticed that the 9650 has better signal strength in certain areas than any of my previous phones.

    I've noticed it, but it hasn't resulted in any transfer failures or dropped calls, so it isn't a big concern yet. I'm hoping the next 5.0 upgrade will resolve the signal issue. (Or, better yet, 6.0, but that's a fool's hope for the time being.)

    This seems to happen on most of my phones over the years, not just the bold, actually the bold seems better about it. I'm very pleased with the bolds RF power. It's not an issue as it causes no drops.

    Thank you all for the information. I had a Storm 2 that I dropped on the pavement and cracked the screen in several places so I just purchased this Bold. I couldn't remember the signal strength being an issue on the Storm 2 as much but it might be that I am just paying more attention so that I don't drop this one! lol.

    No, it isn't just you... the Bold 9650 has known signal fluctuating signal issues. My hope it software related so it can be fixed soon.

    I thought it was just my phone... but lately I've been having alot of signal issues since moving from the Storm2 and the Tour. I'm hoping for a quick fix.
