if you have taken your phone apart before try tightening the screws..... sometimes the contacts are not touching correctly and that's what causes it. if you have not opened your phone I would say call your service provider and ask for a warranty exchange if available.......hope it works for ya
Any other options?
reload the os.... but idk if its a software issue...... worth the shot
my guess is it has to do with hardware and the contacts
yeah, open the case and reassemble the bold
it will fix the problem
do you mean taking out the batt or dismantle the whole thing?
It's a warranty issue. But if you've already opened the phone, forget it.
Plus I think you would have to go directly through RIM for warranty replacement
since you're on T-Mobile and they wouldn't be able to do the exchange for you.
any other help?
you haven't answered if you have taken your phone apart at all or not.
If you have taken it apart, you may have damaged the side buttons on midplate. I damaged one of my buttons and put a new midplate in and all is well now.
Jstray is right about the screws. when I busted a screw, my volume buttons did not work because the midplate was not making a proper connection with the mainboard.
if you have NOT taken your phone apart yet, use your warranty if you have one.
If you don't have a warranty, tighten your screws a tad, if that doesn't work, a new midplate should work.
dismantle the whole thing if you dont have any warranty
if u do, just bring it back mate
