Hi all , Im a newbie to BB and I have bold 9700 with 6.0.0.424 preloaded

I can find a new version from bell 6.0.0.615 .
I came to know that we can load any version on our BB irrespective of carrier (by deleting vendor.xml file)

So I just want to know shall i go with upgrading my BB with .615
OR
let me phrase it like this

Which version after .424 is stable on bold 9700 (which one gives much better performance that .424)

Frankly speaking i cannot find any majr issues with .424 expect the browser part which i can manage with OPERA....

But is there any release doing better that .424 ?

I honestly don't know. If there isn't any bugs plaguing you at the moment, you should be fine until something comes up that causes everything to slow to a crawl. It's your choice if you do choose to update

Been running OS 6.0.0.615 for a week now on 2 different Bold 9700's. From my experience, the battery life is excellent and the memory leak has been fixed dramatically. I start of at 102mb and drop to about 90mbish in 5 hours of heavy use and from there, it become stable. like 1mb drop per 1-2hours of browsing etc.. (heavy user I am) No problems on either device. Best build so far. Give it a try works great with the new FB and BBM6

615 is the most solid and my favourite OS6 for the 9700 so far.

.615 Memory leak started off fine but then got pretty bad after the first week for me to the point it was clearing 18 mb in 24h. The battery life wasn't over impressive either. I went back to .576

Same here. The battery was ok but the leak I experienced was dramatic - maybe 30 or 40 mb in one day...it got so bad I was re-setting just to read my feeds in blackberry news feeds. I too went back to .576.

From what I gather reading all the posts, different builds work differently for users...you just have to experiment to see which works best for you...
