With AT&T's new policy regarding mandatory data plans, I've pulled my Bold off of data for the time being. I'd like to be able to continue to access via wifi but am under the impression that they might update my service books and render the wifi unusable.

Is there a way to store my current service books (either on the phone or on my PC) such that I could restore them should the need arise?

You could use DTM to backup the device and then restore just the service books at a later time
