Does anyone know how to save a number when on a call? I can't work out how to do it?

When someone gives me a number during a call and I type it in on the keypad, as soon as I end the call the number is gone. Does anyone know how to save it for use afterwards?

I've also used the notes function.

While on a call, press menu and choose notes.

    Thanks.

I tried this using 'notes', and it saved fine etc, but I couldn't find where the notes application, or where the note file saves, afterwards?

    Any help appreciated.

The "numbers" you typed during the phone call in "Notes" is found in the "View History" in the corresponding numbers in the call log...

...and that was a lot of "in"

i use the notes option as well...if you go to the contact in your address book and scroll down, the number is in the notes section at the bottom.
