For those of you thinking that the Curve 89xx will be the only device, sporting Safe Mode...
I've got news for you... It won't be... I know some of you know this already but this is for those who don't.

Be warned the official directions of use, will be made available by Rim,
and should not be toyed with until you know the specifics of how it functions.

    Take a look:

    Ok...nice...what does it do
Is it like a pc's safemode? You nooked your phone so start on safemode and try to fix?
Or you have ghosts in your machine so start with safemode and shoo them off...j/k on that second part

Without going into too many specifics it will allow you to resolve various issues preventing normal operation of your blackberry device. Was I vague enough...

Most blogs and sites have claimed this will only be available on the Javelin but, it's only fitting that the new Flagship device from Rim will have this feature as well.

The feature can be activated by pressing the escape key while your device turns on after hard or soft reset.

Infomax: Well according to the screen it says you can start safemode by holding down the escape key during startup.

Xorphan: you mean no more battery pull? I'm impressed with Rim's progress lol
