You don't need to wipe your device for an upgrade. I've yet to wipe first and have never had a problem/issue.

well just tried it out... did 2 battery pulls before using.

the good news streaming from Moodio stopped erroring around the 48 seconds mark with 3G....................
but
THE BAD NEWS IS STREAMING DOESNT WORK AT ALL ANYMORE FOR MOODIO WITH 3G! not even for a second

youtube only works sometimes with 3G...
imma go try the official 162... and if that dun work, i am back to .147

edit: i did 3rd battery pull, and moodio streaming is now working... but dies after 35 seconds.
installing 162 official now

You may not have to wipe your device if going from Beta to the official 162.

I did just that and although I had to start application loader it still installed. It deleted a load of files which were on the beta 162 plus languages, as the official 162 is not multilanguage.

Beta 162 and official 162 is the same thing. Beta OS is really just an OS that hasn't been released by a carrier yet.

.162 was a bad for signal performance for me

4 days on .167 down to 42MB memory

we are all getting hung up on application memory anyway

Guys, i'm not sure if its because of .167
1st time i installed .167, i wasn't able to tether with my laptop.
So i reinstalled .162, it still didn't work... so i re-installed desktop manager. re-setup
Then it worked...

So i thought it was DM that caused the problem... i was having little problems with the reception so i gave another try to .167 thinking it was because of DM and not .167
Now i cannot tether again...
I am currently reinstalling DM, lets hope it works if not i'm going back to .162, cuz i cannot live without tether...

I totally agree. Other then an issue with facebook (it terminates the app once my message threads get ginormous) It been good. I found little tweaks here in there (broadcasting to all convos in bb messenger *think thats new but cool nonetheless* ). No dropped calls, 3G going strong, and the battery seems to be better. ie) i went to bed last night with a batt at 15% and it had only dropped to 10% this morning. Usually, it like kills itself once it thinks its going to run out of power.

I've just got myself a Bold & from .126 after a couple of hours decided to upgrade to .162, it was quite a task but eventually I managed to get my BB working. I'm not sure what the implications are if I were to upgrade to .167 on my network(Vodafone). Is this an official or unofficial release?
