Does that H+ mean it's running on HSPA+? If not, is there a way to tell if you're getting all 3 (or 3.75) g's?

Do you see the blackberry digital compass or a visual voicemail app in the main home page?

Nice to know. Will a Rogers and Bell device work with AT&T? Just trying to be a cheap sum beach and get the cheapest deal I can find.

Yes, any unlocked 9900 will work on AT&T. Rogers, Telus or Bell units are all the same.

I was under the impresson that Rogers was the only one that had the exact same freq as AT&T. I know that any unlcoked gsm phone will work but of you want full 3g+H you will need Rogers. If im wrong let me know.

nope Bell rogers and telus all use the same 3g h+ frequency so any of them will work

wind and mobilicty have the same bands as Tmo

No. All the 9900s (Telus Bell Rogers, even Virgin Mobile Canada) will work the same on AT&T. The only ones that won't are the AWS versions (Wind Mobilicity, T-Mobile in the US).

That's the problem...there is no visual voicemail, and I don't see the Blackberry digital compass app that's suppose to be on the phone...

You have to do some sort of tweak to a file or two, but it has been done before - I had it done on my Rogers 9780. I didn't do it per se, but the instructions are out there. I don't mind not having VVM......but I do mind not having the device!

Does anyone know where i can buy an unlocked Rogers 9900 to use on AT&T? Could i just call Rogers and buy one over the phone and then have it unlocked when it arrives? I rufuse to pay the $800 as well, and refuse to buy anything from eBay (have had horrible luck on there even when buying from people that have a 100% buyer rating)

    Thanks.

I can honestly say I've never been boned on eBay. You won't be able to order from Rogers and get them to ship to the US.....ain't gonna happen. Some CB members may help you out though. Good luck!
