I don't see anything new, so I'm perplexed.
Thats really weird. If you have the time I would suggest doing a wipe and then reinstalling. Everybody has reported more memory most people upgraded from .247 or .266 so you should have even more of a memory gain.

Yeah I'll do that sometime this week. I never expected my memory to be lower than when I was on .162.

I upgraded to .282 rogers from .247,and deleted vendor.xml file. All is smooth and working well. I gained some memory. Only problem is the boot takes longer than my previous built . Rest all is normal. The images after getting cached loads normal.

I also experienced dropped calls....no issues with sound or other stuff, only a few dropped calls. Went back to .266, also the speed of loading thumbnails on .266 is 10x faster then on .282 .

Its werid that so many get so many different results as pictures load faster on .282 then on .266 OS for me and .282 is faster in many ways then .266.

Its true no two bolds are a like, but i am hoping hundreds/thousands are and it appears from this thread i started we are seeing that plenty of bolds are a like, but not all.

I hope OS 5.0 is out soon and we will all have to post our results on that OS to see if it is way better then .282.

Agreed, so please take the time to read through the thread.

But to give you and indication .282 rogers is better then the Asian one.

I love this OS so far. But I have noticed it takes longer for my 8gb memory card to scan now. Before it would take a total of maybe 7 minutes to restart and scan my card. Now it takes 10 minutes and I have fewer things on my memory card now. Anyone else notice this??

It would be good to note that on a fresh install it will take loading the pictures in full once. The device will cache them and make it for a quicker recall. Thats always why it would be a good idea to do a battery pull after each update

I just updated to .282 from .162. When I was using .162, after a battery pull I would get around 55mb of app memory. After a battery pull from .282 I got 51mb of app memory. I'm surprised it's lower than the old f/w.
Now do you get 50+ MB? I only get 45.8MB. I have no third party apps loaded and I used crackmem to remove a number of items like visual voice mail etc. What am I doing different?

Also, I am curious about the memory leaks. Why hasn't RIM addressed them? They actually seem pretty serious. My phone was reboots every few days. I am hoping the upgrade to .282 resolves some of rebooting.

    LMAO..... lol

By the way my uptime so far is 285hrs and 33min as i type this. I have not needed to reboot for any app installs or uninstalls for that many hrs and the phone has not Obviously rebooted.

I first upgraded to OS .282 EastAsia version but after hearing that Rogers version is better I installed Rogers. Well is BS, for me EastAsia version is way better, no dropped calls, memory bout the same as Rogers, no lags, for me EastAsia is better...I'm switchin back
