    I am loving this release.

    Everything is working flawless.

And I am actually brave enough to use 3g on all day, the battery life is amazing!
Thats awesome to hear as i don't have 3G service here to test it out, so i am glad some have the opportunity to do so and add there results.

How long does it last on 3G say using moderately?

Hm.. I've started to drop calls on this OS. Weird.. that's the only negative I have on this OS so far.

If I do this rogers version update do I have to delete the vendor.xml file since I'm on AT&T?

Yes, indeed. Otherwise, it will not work out for you.

My batttery life is considerably better with the update. And I just happened to notice that there is now an option for wireless updates that wasn't previously available.

Wireless Updates Option has always been there on any build i have had and i am on Rogers as well as you.

Great to see many are having goodness with this OS over the Asian version.

I still like to see some reviews/input from how well the battery life is on 3G mode as i am not in a 3G area to test that out.

I just updated to .282 from .162. When I was using .162, after a battery pull I would get around 55mb of app memory. After a battery pull from .282 I got 51mb of app memory. I'm surprised it's lower than the old f/w.

That has not been my experience. I went from 35 to 44, and in the process added BB maps and MDS runtime. If I delete these last 2, I'll be close to 47. I could not be happier with memory management on this new OS.

If this is true, then why does the Escalating volume for an alarm work on the CSL release, but not on the Rogers release? It can't be hardware, as it works on one, and not the other.

This is after several wipes, and with/without 3rd party applications installed. Either way, I've found myself back at .266, yet again.

Everything else about this release is great, but I depend on the alarm for home, and travel purposes.
I don't use the escalating volume alert. Only after reading about the problem I had to post and confirm the same issue. Just from skimming other posts, it seems that some Storm owners have the same problem.

I also can't see if the builds are theoretically the same that they can yield different results. That being said, could those folks with reduced call volume be experiencing a different facet of the muted escalating volume alert?

Overall, I think I'm just going to leave the OS on here..for now.

I'm surprised too. My free memory crept up as I upgraded my OS's from .162 to .216 to .226 to .282. Did you pull your battery recently on .162? Maybe you have a few more things on there now than awhile ago.

Have you noticed any performance differences between .162 and .282?

I'm still confused and surprised as to why the app memory was lower on .282.
Whenever I did a battery pull when I was on .162, it was at around 55mb. When I upgraded to .282, I did a battery pull afterwards and it was at 51mb.
I have the same apps as I did when I was on .162, so nothing new was added.

I do notice the UI is snappier. I have BBweather and when I select more dates, it's much faster. Web browsing is slightly faster. The memory didn't drop that much when I was testing the browser, but when I was on
.162 it would drop quite abit. Also didn't see the annoying clock as much while browsing. I'll play around with it more today and see what else I notice.
