it depends on what kind of music you use, i normally make my own ringtones and i adjust the volume so its loud...
try this on...its my fav
I am not sure if the bold options work the same way. However, I was having that problem with my Curve. This is what I did and now I can hear it when it rings!!! Go to Applications => Media => Ringtones then go into the Options for Ringtones and set Audio Boost to On.. Next I opened the Phone icon to Options then select General Options set Defaut Call Volume 100% then scroll down to Enhance Call Audio I changed mine to Boost Bass (it was previous set to "Previous"). Now every call comes in loud and clear!!! Before doing this, I was missing all my call because I could not here it ring.. Now I am a happy camper.
Blackberry sound, in general, is lousy. It just is. I've had mine for 2+ years now (on my second) and most of the ring tones are inaudible - especially walking around New York City. I find the Classic Ring tone the easiest to here. It's ugly but it works in the city. You can try Ringer BBPro1-4. People who use cute little music clips and most of the designer sounds are just too much - people, this is all about hearing the call. Now for my ex-wife I would put the theme music for JAWS on this if I knew how to do it. But who cares? Pick the loudest and ugliest sound you can find if you are serious about getting the calls.
