On my bold 9000 (v5.0.0.592) I always click "Q" to automatically go to vibrate mode when I'm in a meeting or theater. Yesterday, while in a movie theater my blackberry rang.
It was from someone I have set to a unique ringtone.
Is this true? Phones that have been set to a custom ring tone over ride the "Vibrate Only" selection?

It depends on how you set it up. What OS are you using? 4.6 or 5.0?
